This is one of the smaller Woolwrths stores, and as such their variety of stock isn’t excellent. I’ve only really been in there looking for computer games and the like, and their selection, to be honest, isn’t up to much. They do sell quite a few of the more recent games, but only if it’s well-hyped before the release. Their DVD selection is very good though (and often cheap, especially during sales), as is the choice of CDs.
The rest of the store is quite good, although they do tend to move stuff around a lot, so it’s hard to get used to where things are located.
The staff are generally polite and helpful, but they can be rushed sometimes (especially during school holidays and the like, when the store seems to be packed by kids).

The Rose and Crown is a traditional pub (owned by Elgood’s brewery), with good meals available at competitive prices. If you’re looking for somewhere to go for a quiet drink, this is the kind of place you’ll be looking for. The drinks selection isn’t great, but what they do have is often of high quality. They have a small children’s play area/ beer garden at the back.

The Bull is a nice, friendly pub, with an excellent atmosphere, a good selection of drinks of various types (at least 5 types of lager on tap, several bitters, stouts etc, and a very well stocked spirits shelf), and very good, competitively-priced, meals. They also have live bands performing there a few Saturday evenings a month.
However, if you’re not a fan of pool or darts, I’d avoid it on most week-nights, as there’s always matches taking place, and it’s very hard to get out of the way of them (especially with the pool matches, there are 2 tables in the main bar).
They do have rooms to rent, but I’ve never used them, so can’t really comment on them.
