Dave's Pets - Manchester

448 Cheetham Hill Road, Manchester, Greater Manchester M8 9LE

21.04.2008 (mis à jour le 16.04.2009)

This shop is pretty rammy inside and doesn’t smell too clever really. The poor little animals in there need to be rescued! They aren’t kept in the best conditions, when they have kittens in there they are all stuck in a pretty small cage. I would but an animal from here purely to rescue it!!

moonrising Best advice is don’t buy a kitten or puppy unless you can see it with mum. Especially don’t buy it to ‘rescue’ it. You may be helping that individual but you are only making it profitable for the seller get more in and mum and dad may be sat in their own poo in crate in a dark shed somewhere breeding them.

If it’s bad report them to the RSPCA or complain to your council: councils have to licence pet shops, so that’s the best way to help the animals.

Then go get a pet from a rehoming centre: probably won’t cost you more, will be vacinated and healthy and possibly with neutering, chipping and starter pack included too.

quinthecourier I see your friends from London & Hamburg are helping you again. Do you have any comments from people who have actually experienced any of the places that have given you, as a consumer, such bad service or goods. It would help if the rest of the world had, shall we say, backup eye witness support to back up your claims against others.

Altrincham Rehearsal Studios - Roundthorn Industrial Estate

Southmoor Road, Manchester, Greater Manchester M23 1EE

30.09.2008

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. My husbands band rehearsed here last night and two members of the bands cars were broken into. The place itself is average and expensive. On arrival the person running the place advised that the doors would be locked and that they werent to let anyone in if they were not a member of their band. When they asked why the member of stay simply said that it was company policy. Clearly they knew it was dodgy but didnt have the curtesy to let us know. I have only given it one star because I had to!

quinthecourier This was a very unpleaseant experience for this ladies husband. You go for a jam with your band and some little sod breaks into your car and steals your wallet that you left in full view on the dashboard and your mate cant even leave his coat on the front seat of his car. This sort of thing hardly ever happens in this day and age so you dont even think about it, even if the owner greets you with a handshake and checks, as he does with all his customers, that nothing of any value has been left in your car, just in case. Still i see your friends from London, Cologne, Hamburg and Esher agree with your comments against my studios, it always helps to get a second opinion.

Dainese - Manchester

1 Portland Street, Manchester, Greater Manchester M1 3BE

30.09.2008

Any biker who loves the sport will know that Dainese stuff is worn by the likes of Valentino Rossi in the Motogp. they have leathers for both men and women and sell replica suits from their most famous riders. Obviously because of the quality of the leathers they are a little pricey, but 100% worth it in my opinion!

Rymans Stationers - Manchester

Upper Mall, Manchester Arndale, Manchester, Greater Manchester M4 3AQ

30.09.2008

The new stationers in the Arndale. A great place for students to get all of their stationary from. Pens, notebooks, folders, craft materials - all sorts!! They have really good deals too -great for back to school or uni, I’d really recommend it!

cafe nero - Greater Manchester

Arndale Centre, Manchester M4 3AQ

29.09.2008

More coffee shops selling over priced coffee and food!! I am so terribly bored of all of these coffee shops that charge a fortune for a really average cup of coffee. And for those of us who dont enjoy coffee have to pay at least £1.50 for a minature bottle of juice!!!

mikim I couldnt have put it better myself except me being an idiot i pay for it!

Joy - Manchester

37 Hanging Ditch, Manchester, Greater Manchester M4 3TR

29.09.2008

This place is, as everyone else has said really great if you love to be unique, or know someon who does. Why would you get your threads from Primark and look like everyone else when you can get a touch of class, with a retro, vintage even sometimes old school feel to your style, and be the envy of everyone around you!

O'Neill - Manchester

Exchange Square, Manchester, Greater Manchester M4 3TR

29.09.2008

One of the most famous surfing brands has its own shop in the Triangle in Manchester’s city centre. Specialists in surfing wear they also have ranges of snowboarding stuff and an extensive beach collection with swimwear and much more. For men women, and kids they make some really great original ranges that can be for both sporting wear and streetwear. My tip is to check out the bikinis and also the hats!

Freespirit - Manchester

Exchange Square, Manchester, Greater Manchester M4 3TR

29.09.2008

Extreme sports clothing for everyone and every extreme sport going! From surf stuff to skating and snow sports. Great place to get brands like Animal, Roxy, Quicksilver, Vans and O’neil. Aswell as clothing you’ll find accessories such as backpacks, sunglasses and also shoes, flip flops and trainers.

East - Manchester

Exchange Square, Manchester, Greater Manchester M4 3TR

29.09.2008

East is a ladies fashion company that uses natural fabric and prides itself on giving their ranges an ethnic feel. They have some lovely peices, nice flowing styles, beautiful colours, and some really lovely jewellery and accessories. They are a little more pricey than the bargain you pick up in most places but I would say definetly worth it for something a little unusual.

Attic Fancy Dress - Manchester

52 Church Street, Aflecks Palace, Manchester, Greater Manchester M4 1PW

29.09.2008

The lady who runs this fancy dress place is so nice! They have such an excellent range of stuff, not just actual costumes but everything you would need to make a costume perfect, or even enough accessories to not need a full costume! From face paints to fishnets, noses to knee high boots, packaged outfits that you can keep, sombreros to santa hats. Pretty much anything you need, if you ask for it, one of the guys will try their hardest to find it for you.
