This is one of the most beautiful places in the world . Its a treat to drive , walk or hitch-hiker around . Don’t forget to visit Valentia Island while you are here . You really won’t regret it !

Wonderfully over the top building , this doesn’t look like it belongs in London at all .

One of the more attractive of the London bridges – ok , it isn’t Tower bridge , but its very nice all the same . Being not quite in the centre this bridge isn’t as packed with tourists as Westminster Bridge . You can often see cormorants fishing for eels from here .

I suppose its a good thing that the British public can mess around here with no fear of draconian actions . But I do wish they wouldn’t set up horrible shanty towns . It makes the whole place look a total tip – right where it was intended to the most showy and impressive . It doesn’t even seem to advance the causes , if you hear people talking about the protesters as you walk by they are saying a lot – but its all " bloody idiots messing up the traffic " or similar .

The buildings along this street are wonderful . It does get very busy , mainly with lost looking tourists – but it isn’t nearly as bad as Oxford Street . The Christmas lights are always worth a look and they get turned on surprisingly early in year . Hamleys is very popular with the tourists , especially at that time of year .

A really horrible statue . I admit that he was no beauty – but they’ve made him look like a troll .

I love Leicester Square . It has to be seen at night to look really good – when all the lights are shining it looks beautiful , really romantic . There is a branch of Starbucks , and it isn’t usually something I’d say , but avoid it like the plague . It gets so busy no one can hear to talk to their friends , so they have to speak up a bit . All of them . Then they have to yell . It gets so loud in there you feel like putting your earphones in just to block it . And the drinks are nothing like the usual standard either . It doesn’t look its best at the moment because the square is being done up . You can’t see most of it behind the building works .

Its one of the things that are most obviously London but it isn’t something I like . It doesn’t work for me . Its supposed to be a monument to a national hero , but the poor old thing is stuck up so high you can’t really see him – and it makes him looks so small ! I would have liked the column far more without the tiny little statue .

I love it around here . Its a great place to take a walk and admire the interesting building style . You also get to pretend to be on a space station in an old movie – and that’s always fun .
