They owners were extremely charming and helpful to me - they even helped with my newspaper selection - I opted for the Daily Express in the end and had a can of coke to go with it.

Absolutely puntastic title - I'll add it to the Brighton Good Pun Guide. When I get around to it.

I was here for the relaunch of thsi store last year - it made me feel like a movie star. A real red carpet equipment. Prior to that it looked like a pop-up-shop.

It's just a shame that this fromagerie doesn't smell a little bit more - the lack of odour makes it seem a bit artificial.

Not only do they sell very good quality petrol at a cheap price - as noted by a previous reviewer they also sell fantastic scotch eggs.

My mum likes it here.
I think that's all you need to know really...

Oh La La,
I was in a bit of a hurry so opted for a crepe as some old school fast food. Actually I think I had a Galette, as crepes are the sweet ones - I think.
Cheese and ham and butter, fried. It was a snack that would have pleased the master of the fried cheese sandwich Elvis himself.
Filling, yep. Loaded with saturated fat, yep - an authentic foodie junk food treat.
And very fast too.

This museum is a reminder that Brighton hasn't always been a painfully trendy vacuous hole at he end of the London train line, but used to serve an actual, proper purpose.
It's not the most exciting museum but it's free and that goes a long way to excusing it. If you like old stuff from the olden days then this is the pace for you. And if it's raining then this might also be the place for you. And if your in-laws are visiting and you need to do stuff with them while your wife is at work, then this is the pace for you.
There are photos and nets and the sort of stuff fishermen used, like boats, there are things to read and things to look at. It's very museumy.
I actually find it of very little interest but feel it deserves 5* just for not being a cafe - which is what it will probably become with the budget squeeze and all.
There is a great place for mackerel sandwiches just outside on weekends and over the summer.

A very music hall sort of theatre, 200 years old and full of charm.
There are three upper tiers giving the cheap seats in the gods a long vertical view down to stage. Which means the atmosphere and volume are severely lacking right up here ... but I guess that's why they are the cheap seats.
The location of the theatre on the pedestrianised new New Road make it all a bit theatre quartery at night when the neighbourhood restaurants are buzzing.
The theatre bar next door bar - The Colonnade - is definitely worth a visit, although not during the interval when it is way too busy but rather when everyone else is in the show.
If you are going for the cheap seats, it's also worth bearing in mind that it gets really hot up there with all those rising thermals, so don't wear a vest.

Great place to get your kids used to gambling .. start here when they're seven years old with a few pennies and then when they're 12-13 years old you can show them scratchies .. then when they reach 18 off to Vegas, or poverty and addiction.
This arcade is filled with machines from the Victorian era to mid 20th century. It's good that they still take old pennies, it's not so good that old pennies cost 15 new pennies. But it's all good fun and a handy place to go on a wet day when you still feel the urge to go down to the seafront.
I always shunt visiting relatives of any age off to this place so I can get an hour of peace.
