Father and Sons - Alésia

51 Avenue du Général Leclerc, 14ème arrondissement, 75014 Paris

21.02.2009

A top spot to dress up!
The first historical boutique of the brand name!

Valérie and her team will take responsibility for dressing you up from head to toe thanks to the abundancy and the quality of the season collection’s articles created by Alain Milczak -the label’s designer.

Everything is scheduled to put men in the spotlight!

The collection is divided in different colour themes available in various items of clothing or accessories.

You like a shirt? And you would like the matching boxer short, or even the matching socks? Well, it’s possible thanks to the label’s concept.

The suits costs about 350€. They are well-cut and made of the finest Italian fabrics. Alternations are free of charge.

Why don’t you go and discover their website?!
A little label up and coming, watch this space!

Restaurant l'Ile - Issy les Moulineaux

170 île St Germain, Parc Ile Saint Germain, 92130 Issy les Moulineaux

08.02.2009

Very enjoyable. The veranda and its type of construction brings a spring-like atmosphere to the setting. The cooking is classic and tasty (I recommend the tartare starter!) even if the service leaves something to be desired. The waiting time can sometimes be pretty long and the staff often seem overwhelmed – a problem of bad organisation…? It doesn’t however prevent you from having a very nice time. You feel for a moment like you’ve had an evening outside of Paris and its infernal crowd.

Bon - Trocadéro

25 rue de la Pompe, 75016 Paris

29.01.2009

The surroundings are very nice, chic, decorated and fitted with style (mainly it’s Phillipe Starck). Curiosities to discover include the the gilded lamp stands in the shape of M16s or even the trompe l’œil of the library. For the chronically intoxicated you will have the pleasure of benefiting from a smoking room. The food is of Asian influence, comes in sufficient quantity, also the service is very pleasant. The staff look after your every need. A place to try but with full knowledge of the facts: quality costs.

Café de la paix - Opéra

5 place de l'Opéra, Près de l'Opéra Garnier et rattaché à l'Intercontinental Grand Hôtel, 75009 Paris

03.12.2008

One of the the dignified, representing the old bistros that we could have found in 1900.
It has moreover been used as a setting in the 2003 film production “Arsène Lupin” with Roman Duris (cf. the bomb attack scene).
The service is classy and quality.
I recommend their fish as well as their shellfish which are dependably fresh.

Le Mathi's - Champs Elysées

3 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris

03.12.2008

The ambiance of this place is unusual and so “beautiful people”. TV starlets rub shoulders with actors and TV presenters in this well-known place of the Parisian jet-set. The owner, Gerald, welcomes everyone in his two spaces, one dedicated to the restaurant and the other to the bar. A place to discover, accompanied by a regular customer otherwise, I imagine, you may find a closed door, although the door woman is very nice.

Impala Lounge - Champs Elysées

2 Rue Berri, VIIIeme/Restaurant africain | Restaurant de cuisine du Monde | Bar à cocktails | Bar | Salon de thé , 75008 Paris

03.12.2008

A décor that is inspired by the colonial African. You will discover on the menu atypical dishes, such as shark or kangaroo, that I suggest you try as soon as possible as long as you have a taste for adventure and discovery. Apart from that, there is a jazzy music program that’s insistent and lively, leaving the spotlight on drum machines and other djembes. The service is ordinary but effective. In direct proximity of the Champs Elysées.

Kube - La Chapelle Marx Dormoy

1 Ruelle, 75018 Paris

02.12.2008

A unique concept in Paris. I discovered this distinctive place almost by accident and was far from imagining the “calorific” shock it would provoke. I recommend you go there to have a look at it and take the pleasure of tasting a frosted Grey Goose vodka leaning on a bar that’s frozen like a giant ice-cube. Unfortunately, you can’t stay for more than 30 minutes inside. Be assured the staff are also regularly relieved, even if they seem well adjusted to work conditions that are mostly…unusual! This way you avoid finding yourself being served by a penguin, a snowman or worse… an abominable snowman. A success from the Murano resort group.

Queen - Champs Elysées

102 avenue des Champs Elysées, 75008 Paris

02.12.2008

Everything has already been said about this establishment: the legendary myth (mainly thank to the famous DISCO INFERNO), the inflated gay reputation, the consumerist side… In brief I see only one comment more to make. I recommend above all the LADY’S NIGHT on a Wednesday evening. A good chance to spend a good evening with lots of nice girls for whom the Queen opens its doors for free until 1am.

Les Ombres - Tour Eiffel

27 Quai Branly, 75007 Paris

02.12.2008

Exceptional surroundings. At the foot of the Eiffel Tower, the view is simply superb. The immersion in Parisian life is total! Situated on the roof of the Musée du Quai Branly, the food and the servie are of gastronomic quality like the bill - a astronomic total. I highly recommend the petit fours, always, alas, in too small a portion. The staff are watched over with a iron fist in a velvet glove by Arno Busquet, formerly of chez Robuchon. The moment is magic and the feeling of it being a privilege to eat here remains with you.

La Gare - Paris

19 Chaussée de la Muette, 75016 Paris

01.12.2008

The place is out of the ordinary and is worth a detour.
Located in a former train station, this perfectly unique place has been able to retain a particular originality mainly thanks to its massive size and the height of its ceiling (impressive)! Thus, you feel perfectly at ease, the tables are very well spaced out. The service is careful and the food modern. I especially appreciated the semi-cooked tuna, simply delicious. The bar offers a more intimate and lounge atmosphere, confirmed by quite a comprehensive cocktail menu.
Booking in advanced is recommended
