Whole Foods Market is an american supermarket, and this converted department store is there flagship Whole Foods Market in the country. It stocks all sorts of premium and organic food stuffs. My sister loves this place but for me its a bit too expensive and busy to call in to for a regular shop.
I’d say that even if you are not a foodie its well worth a look round to buy presents for people, (e.g. when putting together an intersting hamper or buying a selection of luxury chocolates) and as a bonus there are lots of free samples to try.
p.s.
Its also the cheapest place in London to buy refried beans (60p a can)! -

This oxfam has a decent selection of books. As a guide modern fiction books are about £2 to £3. At the back of the shop they often have some small items of furniture. This shop also has a good selection of Oxfams own fair trade products. The shop also sells clothing but I find that the mens clothing here is a bit to expensive.
If you are visiting this shop you may also want to head up Kensignton Church Street towards Notting Hill as there are a couple of good charity shops on the way.

I’ve been a member of this library for around 10 years. ILike most libraries it has a large selection of books. However this is the main library in the borough and has an excellent selection and range, including a large section of modern fiction and large collection of cds to borrow.
The best thing about this library though, fior me, this the “books for sale” section. The unwanted books sell for as little as 20p and there are usually a few which take my fancy.
